VB not recognising standard functions

Hi all,

This is the most bizarre thing I have ever seen.

I am developing applications in VB6, and have been for some time, but for
some reason this computer will not recognise any of the standard functions
such as:

MID
LEFT
INStr
etc

But it will recognise:

DateDiff
DatePart
etc

Does anyone have any ideas why?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Jamie

James,

This is a newsgroup for VBNet which uses the VS Net IDE, you have probably a
better change on an answer in the newsgroup.

microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion
