hi, i'm new to vb.net and i'm looking for a book that will help teach me the
language with code examples.also, i'm looking for a book that focuses more on
windows forms and windows applications than web applications and database
programming.thanks for any help.

Have a look at those no books however very goog

And if you have problems installing the resource kit

Another resource for learning is the Quick Starts
http://samples.gotdotnet.com/quickstart/
