.NET Remoting Failover To Local

I wanted to know if it is possible to reload the config file for
remoting on the fly. If my application fails to create my remote
objects and I get an System.Net.Sockets.SocketException error I want to
be able to failover to a local copy of the object. I have this working
programatically, but a cleaner solution would be to just change this in
the config file on the fly if I can do that. Any thoughts on the best
way to do this would be great.
