make usercontrol invisible at design time

hi,

I'm have a control which inherits from the panel control and I want to
make it invisible at design time -- like the Timer control. Any
suggestions??

Thanks,

Dave,

As I understand it, is your question a little bit strange, a panel inherits
from controls a timer does not. A panel is meant to be on a form, not a kind
of component icon at the bottom..

So maybe you can explain it more?

Inherit from 'System.ComponentModel.Component' instead of inheriting from
'Panel'.
