Indepth Building Hosted IE Controls

Is there a website or tutorial on how to build Winforms Controls hosted in
IE? I tried building one a few months ago... but ran into several issues
such as:

-inability to use 3rd party components
-IE was caching an old copy of the component, when I recompiled, IE would
crash on the first load

Basically it was a headache... is Winforms controls hosted in IE mature? Or
has things improved dramatically in .NET 2.0?
