Hi All,

I want to create a program in Visual Basic .NET. But I want to run that
program in a particualr (Unique) PC. If that program is copied into any
other PC it should stop running and should warn the user that it is not
designed to run on the other PC. How can I do this. How can we maintain the
uniqueness of any PC.

Here we the number of PCs in which it should be run are limited and if we
need any information regarding hardware or software we can get every
information. We can scan the computer in which the program should run before
installing or making the program. It is not like "some user will install
that program in some computer". We exactly know everything regarding the
other PC.

Using which unique options or info of a PC, we can create this program.

Please Help Me.

With Regards,
Vanga Sasidhar.

Alot of people use the MAC address of the NIC card to get a unique value.

Otherwise there is the machine name too.

Or perhaps you could generate a checksum based on a set of information
retreived via WMI?
