I need to enable users to run MSAccess 97 macros from my VB.Net 2003
application. Here is a code snippet:
Dim app As New Access.Application
app.OpenCurrentDatabase(MyMacroPath)
.......
.......
app.Quit(Access.AcQuitOption.acQuitSaveNone)
app = Nothing
GC.Collect()
It takes 1 to 2 minutes to execute the first line of code (Dim app as
new Access.Application)! However, if the VB.net application and
Access97 run simoultaniously (with Access having been opened directly
by the user, not by VB), no performance problems are experienced. Is
their anything I can do to speed up the Access automation?
