Dups values in drop down box in ASP.NET

Uma
Hi

I have an application in ASP.NET,which displays values
into dropdown box from the database and when select as
item from the dropdown and click on one button it will
displays the corresponding records in a datagrid. But at
that time dropdown list box shows duplicate values.
If we click two times on a button it will displays values
two times.we put the code like:
dropdown1.items.clear (before filled from the database)
if we put like this those corresponding records are not
displayed in the datagrid.
How can i solve this problem.
If any one knows please give me the solution.
Thanks in advance

Uma
