Socket - Send data to clients - Need speed

Hi,

I want my application to send data to connected client the fastest way
as possible, this is what I use, is it the fastest way?

Dim writer As New IO.StreamWriter(MyTcpClientObj.GetStream)

Public Sub SendData(ByVal Data As String)
SyncLock MyTcpClientObj.GetStream
writer.Write(Data)
writer.Flush() 'Make sure all data is sent now.
End SyncLock
End Sub

Thanks very much!
