The NYPC Visual Basic SIG is pleased to be presenting Nik Kalyani of
the DotNetNuke core team. The meeting is free and open to all,
Wednesday October 6th at 6:15 PM. We've seen the business end of
DotNetNuke a few times already (www.dotnetnuke.com). It's open source
web portal software that allows anyone to easily set up their own
website. In fact, in your spare time, you can start a business setting
up other folks websites.
But the basics involves using existing modules. In this talk, Nik will
show us some of the internals of DotNetNuke, and will show us how to
write our own modules so we can customize the sites. All the
DotNetNuke code is written in VB.Net.
I think I'll blow the budget and get some donuts.
The meeting is at Microsoft, 1290 6th Ave in Manhattan - one block
north of Radio City.
