Web App Host server issue(s)

I would like to play with web projects via VB.Net

I have a web site, hosted by my ISP, where a FP2003 site resides right now
( I wrote it).

I would LIKE to use that site as a test portal for the project(s). .net
comes back and complains when I put that site in the new project window as a
destination host.

"web server is not running asp.net 1.1; you will be unable to run... yada,
yada, yada"

Casn ASP.net be installed on the web server by ME?

What gives....can I do something to the remote site to fix this?

I'm running XP ProSR2. I don't want to pollute my machine with IIS. I tried
IIS for a few days some time ago and it wreaks havoc on my machine, not to
mention I have security concerns with it.

??

Thanks for your time.

only the people with access to the server can install .NET framework for
ASP.NET on their IIS server... if the server is not yours you can not do it,
you'd have to request it and hope they would do it.
