.Invoke in my own objects

The controls and forms allow you to call their .Invoke method, which
allows you to switch back and process whatever you are processing on the
UI thread.
I'd like to implement .Invoke for my own objects for this type of scenario:

public class XXX
private withevents ObjectThatRunsOnDifferentThread as new YYY()
private delegate sub myDelegate(Byval s as String)

private sub SomeEventHandler() Handles
ObjectThatRunsOnDifferentThread.CoolMethod
'here I'd like to switch threads
Me.Invoke(New myDelegate(AddressOf ProcessData), New
Object() {"Data"})
End sub

private sub ProcessData(s as String)
'do processing on the thread that object was instanatiated on.
end sub
End class

Is this possible?

Thanks.
