Scanning: TWAIN or WIA ?

I have a .NET VB project and I must scan some documents

Should I use TWAIN or WIA ( Windows Image A.)

Is there a free Example availabe for :NET in VB ??

WIA is not supported on all Windows versions.

I am looking for a tool that will run only on newer systems
like W2000, XP

or only XP and later

Is TWAIN mor for older or newer Systems ??

It's the older system, but it will still work on newer systems.
