report mapping

P: n/a
Sir,

I got a task from my boss to create a report based on a map.

The map is the map of the country I live (The Netherlands). The map has
many different regions/cities. We have a database table with the information
of population of each city. We need to generate a Map with the data of
population on it, so those cities with more population will have a darker
color. The map of each city is irregular.

Any idea how can I achieve this in .NET, any tutorials, articles?

Hi Guoqi,

It should be quite easy, as all of the data you need is within that table.
Are you working with Crystal Reports? If so, from what you're asking, it
requires nothing on the vb .net end, other than a call to the report.

If you have more specific questions regarding the crystal report itself, let
me know.
