WMP programming

P: n/a
Does anyone have any links to how to program the Windows Media Player? I've
found a bunch but their very basic (even the ones from MS in the developer
kit). Can you program the EQ from Visual Basic? It seems there are
parameters but you can only control them XML. Also, is there any way to put
a DirectX EQ on the output of the media player? I know how to use the EQ if
I create my own buffer but since media player already plays all the formats,
has playlist features, etc. it would be ridiculous to have to write my own
program to do all of those things if I could just process the audio output
of the media player. Are there any NG's for this kind of programming?
