IDE Help

Can someone tell me what the "blue arrow" is in this picture? (I drew a red
arrow pointing to it).

http://rickywhunt.home.mchsi.com/media/vbarrow.jpg

I hit a wrong key combo or something and it came up and won't go away. I
couldn't find anything in the help files. Also, it's just a "per project"
thing. It doesn't happen on my other projects.

If you look in the text files (vbproj or sln file) you may be able to find a reference to what it is and delete it from the XML..

Open up your Tasks window. I believe it's a Shortcut task.

I didn't see anything with reference to that function or line number. But I
don't know anything about vbproj or sln files.

I tried that before but that's not what it is. It doesn't show up in the
task list anyway. That was approximately the keystroke I hit to cause it to
happen though. I was trying to do a "Replace" command, which is Ctrl+H, and
I _think_ I hit Ctrl+K by accident and that's when the blue arrow appeared.
It doesn't seem to be hurting anything and is just in the one project so I
guess I just won't worry about it. Thanks.

It doesn't show in the task list for me either (I never use this bookmark
feature, so I am not sure what it is suppose to do). But it definately
makes that blue shortcut arrow in the gutter. Try it, you'll see!

Thanks Greg. It's not hurting anything (that I know of...LOL) so I'll just
ignore it.

OK. I found out what it was. It is a Task Shortcut. It wasn't showing up in
my Task List because I didn't have "show all" selected. So far I haven't
used the Task List for anything so I didn't know you could filter the
results. Thanks to everyone who helped.
