Throwing an exception in a component

P: n/a
Hi all,

I'm developing business objects for an application and I would like to throw
an exception to the calling code when something goes wrong so that I can use
a Try..Catch statement to handle the error at the upper level. Can somebody
point me to a good best practice document for developing and exception
framework for a DLL component?

Thanks for any advice
