Would anyone care to share a vb.net directx/direct3d example or perhaps even
a tutorial.
I tried google, but am struggling trying to find something like this.

Did you download the SDK and start that, it comes direct with an example.

I started reading a really good book over my honeymoon on VB.NET and
DirectX. It was .NET Game Programming with DirectX 9.0 (VB.NET Edition) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

Pretty good at explaining the managed directx classes (even though there
actual knowledge of .NET is slightly skewed). But so far, easy/enjoyable
reading and gets you into the fundamentals of DirectX.
