dealing with virtual memory problem

I know how to reduce a 'working set' but how can i reduce the virtual memory? I mean finding the
addresses for an object and clearing it if GC doesnt help. I have a app that eats VM, using
maxworkingset/minworkingset doesnt help. Thanks to all

jhngc,
The memory profiler that Herfried identified is a good place to start.

The following articles provide information on writing .NET code that
performs well.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...anagedcode.asp

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...anagedapps.asp

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...vbnstrcatn.asp

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...tchperfopt.asp

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...tperftechs.asp

One or more of them discuss how to "dealing with the memory".

The following two articles discuss the GC in depth:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/1100/gci/
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/1200/GCI2/

Hope this helps
