In addition to the other post: You cannot use VS.NET 2002 with .NET
1.1. VS.NET 2002 is tied to .NET 1.0 and won't work without it, and it
cannot be used to create .NET 1.1 assemblies.

Yes, you must upgrade to VS.Net 2003.

VS.Net 2004 does not exist, but VS.Net 2005 will.

I would wait for 2005, and not upgrade to 2003,
if that's possible...

In addition to that 2005 will have .NET 2.0 and a lot more features, so it
may be worth the wait for you..
