is a crystal Report 100% customizable at runtime ?

I have an application where the user selects the fields to include in the report so the question is
How can i add fields at runtime to a crystal report .

I belive from what I found if you want to create reports @ runtime you need
an additional API licence, althought don`t quote me as im only a newbie:/

I don't think so , you can format them at runtime...

I would appreciate a code sample .
Also if anyone is using another product for the same reason i would like
