DEBUG and TRACE switches

Hi,
In VB.NET documentation it has mentioned that when you use DEBUG option for
building the app, some necessary codes will be generated that hinders
performance of execution.
I'd like to know that if TRACE option also generates extra code in
executable file(like DEBUG) or not.
Thanks in advance,
Amin
