Icons in notify icon menu

Hello,
I'm using a notify icon and I'm trying to add icons on my menu, I took a
look on
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/is...e/default.aspx but
on the bottom of the page there is a bug
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=827043 saying that it doesn't work with
notify icon.
Anybody has got a workaround ?
