events do not fire from exe but fire from vb6 ide

hi
I am using a vb6 application that receives events from a COM server. When I run the VB6 application from the ide, all the events are received. but when a standalone exe is made and executed no events are received from the COM server.
Kindly bail out,
Regards
yetty

Hi Yetty,

This is a VB.net language newsgroup.

For VB6 are other newsgroups, starting with the name
microsoft.public.vb

I think you find faster and more answers there

As the "dotnet" in the name of this newsgroups is saying, that's a group
for the VB.NET programming language. Questions related to VB6 are
off-topic here, and should be posted to one of the VB Classic groups:
microsoft.public.de.vb.*. Thank you for your cooperation.
