Packet Monitoring and Filtering using .NET?

Hey everyone,

I was going to buy a few custom controls to use VB6 to look at all the
packets comming through my computer and block certain IP addresses
(simple firwall app).

My question is how can I do this in vb.NET? I am looking for some
parts to the framework that may do the same thing. Any direction of
samples would be greatly appreciated. I believe it's gotta be pretty
straight forward since .NET ties into the internet much more than vb6
did.

I want to use the framework because most of these vb6 controls only
work with win 2K and up, plus they cost about $1,000.

Thanks a ton.
