Help with MSFlexGrid

Hi everyone,

i have made a com reference in my code to msflexgrid and drew it on my
form.

my problem is i cannot fill it with data! retrieving an adodb
recordset is fine, but when i try to pass the grid and the recordset
to the following function:

FillGrid(me.grdResults,rs) - ere Me is the form containing the grid

Public Function FillGrid(ByRef grid As AxMSFlexGridLib.AxMSFlexGrid,
ByRef rs As ADODB.Recordset) As Boolean

it returns this error:

"An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException'
occurred in <app name>

Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an
object."

the function FillGrid simply contains code to loop through the rs,
build a string and use grid.additem(string).

what am i doing wrong??
