VS.NET/VB.NET System Requirements - Opteron?

Hi,

VB.NET System requirements
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/pro...s/default.aspx lists
Intel Pentium processors but no AMD processors.

Can I run VS.NET and VB.NET programs on Opteron?

Is .NET optimized for any particular processors?

I guess AMD processors must be compatible but I've never seen AMD processors
listed on the Microsoft site.

Thanks
Harry

Hi Harry,

They write Pentium II class and Pentium III class, not Pentium II or Pentium
III

I think that this is a good place to search if your AMD Optereon is like
that

http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/...~72978,00.html

I hope this helps?

Hi,

I run vs.net on my computer with an athlon xp (which isn't listed).
I am sure if you can load windows on the computer you can run vs.net.
