Open your vb.net project and create a COM reference to Microsoft Excel 9.0
Object Library

use the following code

Dim ExcelApp As New Excel.ApplicationClass

ExcelApp.Visible = True
ExcelApp.Workbooks.Open("C:\Book1.xls")
