Looking for work in the Arkansas and Louisiana Area....

My apologies, this is way off-topic....

Im un-employed, looking for employment. The IT market is almost
non-existent and jobs are scarce in Arkansas.

If you are located in the Arkansas or Louisiana area. I have
experience working with Infragistics and DataDynamic ActiveReports
controls in COM, VB.NET and ASP.NET environments. Solid background in
Windows Networks, Unix systems, Network administration, hardware
repair, maintaining and administering NEC, Axxcess and comdial phone
systems.

I am putting together a small site at
http://www.hongkongexpressions.com/demoapp to demonstrate some skills,
as well as provide more in-depth information on my work experiences.
This is on a hosting site, so it's not to elaborate, to keep my cost
down.

Again, my deepest apologies. Desperate times, call for desperate
measures.

Imagine everybody would post here if he/she is unemployed...

Some images on the skills sheet don't work (at least on my machine).

What doesn't work... The only problem I have is the reports demo is
starting to act up, all of a sudden. I believe this to be a cache
problem.

I just kind of threw that website up, didn't have time to check for
cross-browser capabilities. If your using anything other than IE 5.0 and
up, there's no guarantees.

Trust me, posting to the newsgroups is a last resort thing. It's not
my idea of a job placement service either. But I've posted with
monster.com, etc and every head-hunter I can find.

Again, all I can do is humble myself and apologize to everyone for doing
this.

Terry... very impressive website design.

I noticed some icons missing in the "Skill Sets" window.

Best of luck to you,
Tom

thank you sir..

Their all there for me, I cleared the cache on my internet explorer...
Actually, need to put a pre-loader on the graphics.

This is pretty much designed for a intranet, where there is control over
the browser and equipment used, etc.

I'm sure I'm using the standard Windows "stuff" ... I also cleared my cache.
Perhaps they aren't icons. I can't seem to display the code in the pop-up
window so I can't see what they are supposed to be. It isn't part of the
window itself but rather some white "space holding" blocks on the pages
themselves. There are two of them on each page. One at the top left corner
and one right after the horizontal line of "Applications", "Database", etc.

Could these be a single-pixel transparent graphic that simply isn't there?

What browser and version are you using ...

This is going to bug me... (laugh)... Just when you have a free moment,
could you email me a screen print.

Thank you, sir.

You have a hardcoded path in two places on each page in the skill set
dialog...
file:///C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/DemoApp/myinfo/images/spacer.gif

Fix that and you should be fine.

Hey Thomas...

How did you view the source on that page? Using IE the right click is
disabled for me.

And Terry... here's a new one. With the Skill Sets dialog open, grab the
toolbar with the grabber on the far left and you can drag the toolbar
around. Probably not a great feature to offer since it doesn't dock
anywhere else.

Just did a view source on the left side menu to get the popup's address
then opened it directly so I could view it. Would have been just as easy to
do a sort on your cache and grab it from there though. Oh and having
Netscape loaded for compatibility testing helps too since it'll let you look
at the page either way.

Too bad it doesn't work right in NS6.1, left side menu doesn't expand or
display properly. Nice site in IE though.
