Invalidated forms won't redraw in Win2K

Hello
I have an MDI application with quite a few forms. On machines running Windows XP I have no problems, but on those running Windows 2000 I do. If a form is opened so that it is on top of another form, and then the form is closed, the form that was below it shows white lines and shapes from the edges of the closed form and its controls. I have tried everything I know to resolve this problem (such as refreshing the parent window every time a form is closed) for several months and cannot figure it out. I have posted this question many times on this forum and have never received a response. Does anybody have any tips on how to resolve this

Thanks for any help anyone can give me
Ben
