Why search help & Index help quit working?

For reasons I have not yet identified my Help, Search and Help, Index has
quit working. That is, in the VB IDE, from the Help menu, I can select
Dynamic help or Contents and things work as expected. But when I select
Index or Search, the tabs appear but when I click on the Search or Index tab
nothing happens.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Thanks for posting in the community.

First of all, I would like to confirm my understanding of your issue.
From your description, I understand that in the VB.NET IDE, when you click
the Help/Dynamic Help, or Help/Contents, the two panels will appear and you
can the see the content in the two panels. But when you click Help/Index
and Help/Search, the panel's will apprear, but there is no content in the
panels, but you can the Index and Search Tab.
Have I fully understood you? If there is anything I misunderstood, please
feel free to let me know.

Did the problem occur before, I mean after you install the VS.NET and the
MSDN documents, have the problem ever occurred?

Also if you press Start/All programs/Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
2003/Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Documentation, this will open the
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Documentation, did the problem persists
with Search and Index panel?
