Working out whether session is already active with IBM S/390 host

Hi,

I'm using a PCOMM AutSess instantiated class to establish a session with an IBM host (S/390) from within an Excel spreadsheet using:

session.SetConnectionByName

Not sure how long this session lasts. On subsequent reruns of the VB app (embedded in the spreadsheet), I get errors returned from the above method. Would seem that the session is still established/active. Even checking session.Started and session.Active gives errors.

Code extract checking session:
sessionID = connForm.SessionList.List(connForm.SessionList.Lis tIndex)
Set find_object = sessionDetails.FindConnectionByName(sessionID)
If find_object Is Nothing Then
If session Is Nothing Then
session.SetConnectionByName (Mid(sessionID, Len("Session ") + 1))
session.autECLOIA.WaitForAppAvailable
Else
' session.SetConnectionByName (Mid(sessionID, Len("Session ") + 1))
' session.autECLOIA.WaitForAppAvailable
End If
End If

If (session.Started) And (session.Ready) Then
Else
MsgBox ("Invalid session. Unable to establish session with " & Chr(34) & sessionID & Chr(34))
Exit Sub
End If

How do I work out whether a session is already present so I don't get this problem?
