Article: An Analysis of the Google Search Engine Algorithm

This aticle presents factual evidence that Google's PageRank, inbound
links and keywords are irrelevent to your placement in the search
results.

It presents several case studies that show conclusively that the
algorithm used by Google's search engine is flawed with serious "bugs"
that deny many websites the high ranking that they should otherwise be
granted while granting it to those who shouldn't have it.

I don't know how conclusive this article actually is... I don't know if I
would go around spreading things about google considering after clicking on
those links that were in the article. Because those under construction
pages don't come up.

Which goes to show that there is still randomness to the google search
engine.

Second. why wouldn't they make money, isn't that afterall the point in
being in business. I don't think the people that host googles fiber that
runs these massive crawls and searches feels like giving bandwidth away for
free.

Third, seems to be missing some major facutal informatoin, that of time...
The author states that he modified is web page and it didn't show up...
well, after how much time. As it is so eloquently stated that google
chooses rank by content updates... Well, if you haven't updated your content
for awhile, google hits you less and less, i believe they state that.

Also regarding that, who is to say how long before that update is crawled
and posted. I don't know googles operating procedures, but I don't think
its instantaneous, nor within a couple weeks for a "non-subscribing" user.
