CD not seen

After I put the Visual Basic.NET CD in my CD-ROM drive, the cursorwith the CD flashes on the screen for a few minutes, but after that, nothing happens. When I try to view the files on the CD in either Explorer or by Start, Run, Browse, a message pops up saying to insert a CD in the CD-ROM drive. I've tried the CD on two computers. Do I just have a bad CD?
