saving the graphics on the form to bmp

hi, I've been cracking my head over this...
I render some graphics on to form1. (using directx)
but how do I save the graphics to bitmap?

I kinda assume it's the same as drawing on the form with
GDI+ and wanting to save the content on the form to
bitmap. does anyone have any idea how to do this?
