ADO.NET isn't a Database and Sql is a language not a Database. If free is
your goal, what's wrong with MSDE? or MySQL? They both employ SQL For
queries, but most consider that to be a good thing. Do you really want to
learn a Query Language that is only supported on one DB when SQL is
supported on most every commercial RDBMS that's out there?
