Cannot Add Web Reference in VB.net V7

When using the add web reference dialog I can successfully
navigate to a working Web Service page using the browsing
pane on the left, yet the Web Services List on the right
gives me an error - "cannot connect to remote server" and
the Add Reference option never becomes enabled.
I am trying to connect to a web service locally
on "localhost" so connectivity should not be an issue.

Hi Chip,

The add reference for a webservice is using a webpage, that is not with the
administrator account but as far as I remember me the Aspnet account from
your IIS. Maybe you can check if that the problem.

If that is not the answer, for this I think the

microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet is a better newsgroup for this
problem.

I hope you succeed?
