Desaturating Images

Hi there,

Merry Xmas to all.

I hope your stockings were all adequately stuffed full..or if you were
the ones doing the stocking stuffing, i hope you had the chance to
stuff yourselves full.. of turkey, or roast and taters etc or whatever
it is in your part of the world, if you celebrate Xmas that is.. :)

For the new year i would like to be able to desaturate an image of
common type such as gif/jpeg etc. Ive hunted about for documentation
but i must never use the right combo of keywords. Any Urls for this or
any similiar filter type ops on images (think Adobe) would be
appreciated.

TIA

Richard

Hi Richard,

I think those links are a nice start

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ingimaging.asp

The ones beneath Herfried suplied to this newsgroup last week, it is C#, I
did not try it yet, but looks fun to me

http://www.codeproject.com/cs/media/edge_detection.asp

I hope this helps a little bit?

The GDI+ FAQ has an article on how to modify image saturation using a
ColorMatrix.
