Connection Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 from VB.NET win form in VS.NET 2003

Hi!
Can anyone help me in finding,how we can connect
Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 from Visual Studio.Net 2003
using VB.NET winfrom,to manipulate images,files that are
stored in the above server.

microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver
newsgroup?

You can use the Webservices of Sharepoint to interoperate with Sharepoint:
