AX Web Browser authentication

Nak
Hi there,

I wondered if it was possible to authenticate using the AX web browser
control automatically? I do not want the password dialog appearing on the
screen when navigating to a specific page, any ideas? Thanks loads in
advance!!

Nick.

I got fed up with programming because it's such a
hamster wheel. I'm glad I'm back, but its still a lot
of running just to stay where you are!

Hi Nick,

Nice to see something again from you. (You have to look at that long string
Armin and Jay B are making, I think they do want to break the record from
you and Fergus). I don't know if it is longer but absolute wider.

I will think about your problem further today, but one of the main thing is,
that there is not one authication method on the web.

One of them is quiet easy to do I think with the webbrowser (I did not try
it till now), that is where the password is given with the Get.

That you can answer with something as
webbrowser.navigate2("myname:my********@www.nick.c o.uk") I never know the
real format of that string, but that you can check that yourself I think

You see them also as
webbrowser.navigate2(www.nick.co.uk?name=Nick&pass word=Nak")

But if there is integrated security or something I think it will be a lot
harder to do.

Did you hear something from Fergus I got a message from him 2 weeks ago, but
after that nomore.

Hi Cor,

Thanks for the advice, I shall investigate these methods a little deeper
tommorrow, not much time to do anything at the moment, let alone program.
Anyways, thanks again mate, take care and Happy Christmas! ;-)

Hello Nick,

Thanks for your post. As I understand, you want to provide
username/password when accessing a web page in order to prevent the
Webbrowser control prompts an authentication dialog. Please correct me if
there is any misunderstanding. I suggest that you can uses the
Authorization option in HEADERS parameter of the Navigate method which
enables to provide the username/password. Please refer to the following
MSDN article for detailed information:

HOWTO: Use WebBrowser HEADERS Param in Navigate Method

Hope this helps.
