Transfert File FROM Mainframe to my PC

How can I transfert a file on the mainframe to my PC with VB.NET ???

How can you access that specific file, for example FTP, HTTP, ... ? This is
important to answer your question.

Additionally: Microsoft has a product to access legacy systems: Host
Integration Server

Which access methods does the "mainframe" provide? FTP? HTTP? ...?

Hi Mathieu,

Mostly in the way the guys from the maiframe allow you.

Often Mainframe files are in EBCDIC so it has to be converted, that is also
mostly the biggest problem.

How you transfer it depends on how you connect to the mainframe (and what
programs the mainframe supports for such transfer). You have to decide
certain physical things before the software can be discussed.
