QUESTION POSTERS - LOOK HERE

A great deal of effort is put into answering people's questions in this
Newsgroup. If you post a question and receive an answer, please acknowledge
the time taken to try and help you by either confirming the fix or
otherwise.

From now on, If I notice that I don't get responses from people who post
new questions without giving an acknowledgement then I will ignore your
posts, and I would recommend that others do the same.

Ack those who help you, Its just plain rude to do otherwise.

Do you have a list with names of people who didn't reply you an "Thank
you" message?

Could not agree more! This is actually the first time i
have looked at this newsgroup as i am new to learning
VB.net. I am amazed that people do not thank when so much
effort has been put in to help them!

Try and keep up the good work OHM and others!! I for one
will thank anyone who helps me (probably be quite often
as I am new!!).

I have not specifically key a list, but I have noticed over the last four or
five days that a lot of posters have not replied. This eitehr means that
they used the information or did not read the reply. In some cases they
simply dont come back.

Hi,

I never answered a question because I wanted a pat on the back. I
also never expected anyone to respond unless they required more help.

I think that is a VERY fair point to make, and well
justified.

Hi Ken,

I know these days, its not fashionable to observe common expected
courtesies ( Please and Thank you seem to be a thing of the past to many
people). I can only thank my parents for making sure that I have the good
manners to say thanks after someone helps me.

I guess we are all different. Sad though in my opinion.

I understand your concern. I find it very important too. For the
moment I'm always asking questions, but there may be a time I will begin
to answer, I just want to get better. Habitually I say thanks to
peoples who reply to me. But it may happen that I forget to get back to
a message because I had a hard day... I would prefer to never forget...

I am using netscape to read newsgroup, is there a toll that could make
the think easier for me to backtrack my post? And then to follow up?

Thank you

Mart

I'm not sure about netscape Mart, but outlook express allows you to mark
your posts. You could consider using that instead, although having said
that, its not the best reader in the world.

Hi OHT

For collection you need an Hamster, this word is in Dutch a synoniem for
someone who collects (mostly food), I think it is that in the German
language also.

We know someone who has a newsreader with the name Gnus Hamster, but he
collect so much, that he always forget what was the last message he did
send.

:-)) I hope he reads this
