Determine Domains and -Type

P: n/a
Hi!

Currently i'm working on a program that should let u administer every domain
on the network.

First step is to enumerate all domains with DirectoryEntry("WinNT:")

That takes a long time but works.

Next step is to determine the types of the domains, i.e. is it a NT4 or an
AD-Domain

Now i try to access the rootDSE of every domain and if i get a result the
domain is an AD-Domain. In case of error it is a NT4-Domain.

Theres the problem. 1. It takes TOO long. 2. If my account has no rights in
the domain, rootDSE return also an error.

So i need some help, maybe there are better ways. Even to find all domains
on the network. That takes about 20 Seconds.

Thanks for help
