creating macro in MS outlook that will place attachments into a shared folder

A developer that left us had created a macro in VB6 that allowed a user to
click on a button, which I also need help with, that would copy any
attachments for a particular email to a network share.

When the user had a certain email highlighted, the user would click this new
button that was created and it would copy the attachments in the email to a
certain network share as well as copy the email to a folder below the Inbox
in Outlook.

I do have a copy of the Macro but would like to create a new Macro in
VB.NET, if possible, and would like to be pointed in the right direction. I
am just starting VB.NET and have not taken a programming course for many
years. Thanks for the help.

After openning VB editor within MS Outlook 2003 is see that it opens MS
Visual Basic 6.3 even though I have VB.NET installed so maybe that answers
my being able to create the Macro in VB.NET but now I am not sure where to
start, thank you.

I do not see any options that would allow me to create or import a macro.
Where is a new button created?
