desktop context menu integration

P: n/a
I've been looking unsuccessfully for resources on building apps that show up
on the desktop's context menu. Any ideas?

Um...the app shows up in the menu, or the app makes an item appear in the
menu? :)

the second. instead of clicking start, I'd like to be able to right click
on the desktop. I'd also like to be able to add other items/content/apps to
the desktop's context menu. Armin's link was a good start for adding an app
to an given extention's context menu, but i'm looking for more control.

when you want some control over the shell / when you're looking for a vb.net
way to costomize the shell, or when you want to replace the shell.

I guess this is (at least) not supported, probably because you usually don't
need a second start menu as the first one is always there. So, I'm afraid, I
can't help you more.
