In the visual Basic code behind a form in Access 2003,
what is the difference between Me.Diluted and Me!Diluted?
Also what is difference between [Form]! and Form! Thanks
for the help.
The bang operator '!', in any version of VB, is a dictionary access
operator. Think of it as an indexer into the default property.
so
Me!Diluted
MEANS
Me{"Diluted"),
which in turn means something like
Me.Items("Diluted")
Which ofen means
Me.Items("Diluted").Value()
Isn't VB easy?
I recommend that ! be shunned always. It gives the illusion of
early-binding and type safety.
