Hi, all!
I am passing information to and from Excel and another
piece of software (Analytica) via OLE linking. I have two
tables on a spreadsheet: one which is linked to a input
table in Analytica, the other which is linked to an output
table from Analytica (so, if I change a value on the input
table on the Excel spreadsheet, I see a change in the
output spreadsheet).
However, if I try to write a subroutine which modifies
values in the input table, the changes to the output table
do not occur until after the subroutine is completed. What
I would like to be able to do is copy the modified output
table as part of the macro. Using:
ActiveWorkbook.UpdateLink Name:=ActiveWorkbook.LinkSources,
Type:=xlLinkTypeOLELinks
Doesn't seem to do the trick. What _does_ seem to do the
trick, curiously, is to pause the code with a MsgBox
command after the change to the input table (and before the
attempt to copy the output table). Now, since the eventual
goal is to have this process automated, I don't want to
have someone have to sit there hitting the Enter key.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Paul
