Accessing Session in different applications on the same site?!?

I am working on a site that utilises multiple applications (on IIS) written
in either VB.Net and or C#.Net.

All these applications run under the same domain, yet the session variables
are not available between applications. I would have thought that they would
be available as long as you remain in the same domain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Look into the Caching application block from Microsoft. It lets you
implement a shared cache for several scenarios, including yours:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...chingBlock.asp

Sticking with ASP.NET, session variables are not available in different
ASP.NET applications. So, you cannot use session variables to communicate
between web sites. This is true for all collections within .NET.

The only way you can share the data (other than using an external method)
would be to combine the various ASP.NET applications together into one.

Or perhaps have a central code page manage the data IO.
