OT VB NET - Best software for reading this posts

What do you think is the best application used to read this news?
Beside OE, there is any?

I ask this quite off topic q because I hate the fact that I cant sort msgs
by
read status and keep scrolling for it...

I am not sure if gnus is able to do that, but I use gnus and I really
like this program.

I use slrn as the reader and vim as my text editor. slrn is console
based program. It is available for both *nix systems and Windows - the
same with vim of course. It has a lot of features... It allows a lot
of different sorting options, and there are custom sorts as well. I am
still learning it my self since I just switched a couple of months ago

Hi Crirus,

I would definitly not using Gnus or even slnr (if you are not on a cross
form platform)

Gives you a lot of discussions about quoting and/or line length

:-))))))))

I will not .. I'm not a line command fan, or Open source apps

Why? Because it alerts you when you are breaking established rules of
netiqute that OE tends to ignore? I don't know about Gnus, but in slrn
you can turn off that feature if you want to.

You can turn that off in gnus too. But posting non-well-formed posts is
sooo easy...

FWIW, you can change your view to only show messages that havent been read. I commonly do this in
the morning when there are a lot of posts. Throughout the day i read them as they trickle in.

It is easy - especially when it is encouraged by the news reader...
Still, I tend to stay out of those discussions.
