Question for someone experienced with the Word 97-2002 DOM

Rot
I'm writing a small program that manipulates a Word document. I don't
have any good references to the Word DOM save for books written for
VBA, which is not always helpful.

I want a line of code to grab the "style" of a particular range. (I'm
sure the range is all one style). Specifically, the line should say
something like:

If range1.style is "Index 1" then do this; if range1.style is "Index
2" then do something else

It's apparently easy to get the string identifying a range's style --
when you're using VBA. But I can't figure out how to refer to the
style using VB.NET.

Can anyone suggest a way to either get the style name, or grab some
other aspect of the Style property (and get around the need for the
name)?

TIA!
